What is 'Learn to Play'?

The Learn to Play initiative was developed jointly by the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association to offer more families a chance to experience everything that makes youth hockey so rewarding.

The goal of the program is to inspire more families to join the hockey community by offering first-time participants, between the ages of 4 and 8, head to toe protective equipment, combined with appropriate on-ice instruction and certified coaching in a safe and fun environment.

Participation in the Learn to Play Program includes the following items:

- Skates - - Helmet with Cage - Shoulder Pads
- Chest Protector - Elbow Pads - Shin Guards
- Hockey Pants - Gloves - Jersey with TML logo
- Hockey Socks - Stick - Hockey Bag
- TML Alumni Visit

The 'Learn to Play' Program is available to:

- First time players born between 2011 and 2015 (ages 4 to 8);
- Hockey experience is NOT necessary; basic skating skills are recommended but not required.

Program Fees
The 'Learn to Play' Program provides head to toe equipment for your child to keep as they continue exploring youth hockey.
